Food log 5/16/12

Geez, what a shitty day…My eating wasn’t very good, and I didn’t exercise, this feels like one big fail of a day. :(

9:00 am - A mulitgrain waffle with 1.5 tablespoons of peanut butter; a 10 oz. berry and mango smoothie.

4:00 pm - A bowl of lentil soup; a huge piece of pita bread; a string cheese; 16 oz. of water.

5:30 pm - 2 servings of teddy grahams; 8 oz. of skim milk.

8:00 pm - Some grilled zucchini; a serving of tator tots; a shit-ton of ketchup.

Exercise - Nothing

Gosh, why do I keep screwing up?! Tomorrow will be better, I promise myself this.

I love protein shakes! <3

I had the yummiest smoothie/protein shake for lunch. It had frozen banana, chocolate protein powder, peanut butter, greek yogurt and skim milk in it and it tasted like a freakin milkshake from sonic. I don’t understand why some people think it’s so hard to eat healthy, there are so many delicious options!

Anyways, kind of random, but I just had to share. :)

Avocado Egg Salad
Servings: 6 • Size: 1/2 cup • Old Points: 3 pt • Points+: 4 pt (w/ light Flatout 7 pts)
Calories: 154.7 • Fat: 11.7 g • Protein: 9.3 g • Carb: 4.6 g • Fiber: 3 g • Sugar: 0.5 g
Sodium: 132 mg (without salt)

Ingredients:

  • 4 large hard-boiled eggs, chopped
  • 4 hard boiled egg whites, chopped (discard the rest)
  • 1 medium hass avocado, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
  • 1 tbsp light mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp fat free plain yogurt
  • 1/2 tablespoon finely chopped chives
  • 2 teaspoons red wine vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp Kosher salt
  • pinch freshly ground pepper


Directions:

Combine the egg yolks with the avocado, light mayo, yogurt, chives, vinegar, salt and pepper. Mash with a fork. Combine with egg whites and adjust salt as needed.

OHMYGOD, this is so true. And it seriously pisses me off. I can't stand when guys act like they don't care about a girl's weight, but then make a comment about some girl being fat.
